Topping off Monday nights meeting.council approved July 1, 2025 as the completion date for the sewer project.
The system is working excellent. A walk through final inspection is scheduled for the spring of 2025.
There are some minor things that still need to be done like planting grass seed and clean up the construction site.
The council also discussed a plan for maintenance for a brush dump.
This subject is still unresolved.They will discuss this at a later date.
Also in tonight’s meeting the council approved to extend the previous policy with on call pay for the Police Department.
They did mention they are understaffed and 2 officers will be retiring this year.
On call officers will be paid 10.00 a hour.
The next scheduled Albia City Council Meeting is Jan. 20,2025 at 6:00 pm.
