Vince Feehan, a loving and dedicated family man, passed away on December 22, 2024 at his home. He was born on October 28, 1945 in Melrose to Robert and Mildred (Scieszinski) Feehan. He graduated from Albia Community High School, class of 1963. He then served in the United States Army for two years during the Korean War. Vince was well-known and admired for his unwavering reliability, his generous spirit, and his deep love for his family and community. He married Carol Anderson on May 28, 1982. Vince was a stalwart member of St. Patrick’s Catholic Church in Melrose, where he served as a handyman for many years. His selfless dedication to the church was a testament to his commitment to his faith and his community. He was a volunteer on the Melrose Fire Department for many years. He was a man of many hobbies, with a particular love for the outdoors. He relished in fishing, hunting, golfing, and farming with Isaac, often embracing these activities as cherished opportunities to spend time with his family. His passion for these activities was only surpassed by his dedication to his family, who were at the center of his world. Vince is survived by his wife, Carol of Melrose; children, Paul Feehan of Lucas, Christine Comegys of Carlisle, Shanna (Sonny) Schroeder of Albia; seven grandchildren and ten great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, Robert and Mildred Feehan; son, Mike Feehan; siblings, Barbara Ruepke, Donnie Feehan; Sister Mary Robert, Robert Jr., Bernard, Richard, and Geraldine Feehan. Cremation has been accorded per his wishes. Visitation will be on Saturday, December 28, 2024 from 9:30 – 10:30 a.m., at St. Patrick’s Catholic Church in Melrose. A Mass of Christian Burial will also be on Saturday, at 10:30 a.m., at St. Patrick’s Catholic Church in Melrose with Father Ron Hodges and Deacon Ed Kamerick officiating. Military rites conducted by the American Legion of Melrose, Albia & Lovilia will proceed services with a luncheon to follow, all at the church. A private family inurnment will take place in Mt.
