Thomas Hugh Limke II, 63, of Ottumwa, died at 4:00 p.m. December 19, 2024 at the University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics in Iowa City.
He was born September 22, 1961 in Des Moines to Thomas Hugh and Shirley Kreul Limke.
A resident of Des Moines most of his life, Tom graduated from Dowling High School in 1979 where he played football. He was a self-employed contractor and later a contractor for various commercial companies.
Tom greatly enjoyed hunting and fishing.
Surviving are his children, Trisha (Pat) McDonald of Creston, Travis (Kanani) Limke of Ottumwa, Tomi Jo (Chris) Day of Bloomfield and Vicki Hayes and Rachel Hayes both of Des Moines; grandchildren, Noah, Drake, Alex, Emma, Kaia, James, Taylor, Sidney and Brady; sisters, Diane (Pat) Cummings and Pam (Clayton) Smith both of Des Moines; and many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents and brothers, Bill Limke and Mike Limke.
His body has been cremated and no services are planned at this time.
