The Ottumwa School District recently wrapped up its Bulldog Giving Tree initiative, which aims to support families in need who may not be able to afford gifts for their families.
The Giving Tree saw amazing support from November to the December deadline, with all 110 families and 206 children successfully adopted, ensuring they will receive gifts in time for Christmas.
Some wish list items were expensive, the real value came from the thoughtfulness and effort behind the donations,73 sponsors throughout the community and staff in our building sponsored some children, which made a meaningful impact on the families supported.
