Barry Leroy Evans, 68, of Blakesburg, died at 10:37 p.m. December 26, 2024 at his home following a courageous battle with cancer.
He was born June 13, 1956 in Rumford, ME to Thomas and Sarah Fikentscher Evans. He married Ruth Ann Snee August 11, 1993 and she preceded him in death May 18, 2018.
A 1976 graduate of Blakesburg High School, Barry worked many jobs throughout his life, mainly in the fields of security, maintenance and as a general handyman. He enjoyed listening to music, especially Elvis Presley and Johnny Cash. Barry was a fan of pro football, following the Philadelphia Eagles and Seattle Seahawks. Barry was a proud pet owner of his beloved cat, Noel.
Surviving is his son, Jason (Pam) Evans of Havre, MT; granddaughter, BellaRose Evans; siblings, Jeani Johnson of Tacoma, WA, Tom Evans of Tacoma, WA and Linda (Jack) Harris of Lakewood, WA, Wendy (Gary) Brody of Urbana, his twin, Bonny (Bob) Patrick of Rockwall, TX, Bill Evans of Albia, Cheryl Talbert of Blakesburg and Darryl Evans of Tacoma, WA along with numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents and brothers-in-aw, Johnny Johnson and Dave Talbert.
His body has been cremated. A private celebration of life will be held at a later date.
