A pedestrian was hospitalized after being struck by a vehicle in Monroe County on Monday.
According to the Iowa State Patrol, 2008 Chevy pickup driven by 57-year-old Andrew Hackett of Albia was traveling eastbound on 3rd Avenue West at approximately 5:07 PM.
The accident report states the truck collided with 67-year-old Sue Henderson of Albia on the west side of the intersection with Highway 5. Henderson was transported to Methodist Hospital where her current status is unknown.
The accident remains under investigation.
