The Iowa Insurance Divison says a Marion County man pleaded guilty in a case in which he made a false insurance claim.
23-year-old Cameron Allison pleaded guilty to one count of insurance fraud – presenting false information on October 31. Officials say Allison was given a deferred judgment at sentencing. He was also ordered to pay $1,025 in restitution and placed on probation for two years.
The Iowa Insurance Division says Allison was arrested on July 26 after it received a complaint that alleged Allison submitted false information to an insurance company. Allison was seeking to gain a policy in order to cover damages for an accident that he would not have been entitled to.
