A southeast Iowa man was sentenced to over a decade in federal prison for receiving and distributing child pornography.
According to court documents, law enforcement received a tip that 64-year-old Edward Billheimer of Burlington uploaded files containing child sex abuse material. After a search of Billheimer’s residence, authorities recovered approximately 100 videos and 400 images of child pornography, including material with toddlers and infants.
Billheimer was sentenced to 151 months in federal prison on Thursday. Additionally, Billheimer will be required to serve a five-year term of supervised release, pay $3,000 in restitution, and register a sex offender.
