Pekin Community School District is holding a special election today,. Sept. 10th, to decide on making all school board seats at large or continue forward with the existing format. Making the seats all at large would mean that all seats may be filled by anyone living within the district rather than living in specific districts for each seat.
Eligible voters in the Pekin Community School District in the County of Washington, Iowa, can vote today from 7:00 a.m. until 8:00 p.m., at the polling location as follows: Residents of the BRIGHTON PRECINCT will include those persons residing in said school district in the Clay Township in Washington County, and will vote at the Rubio Community Building.
The polling place has been moved for this election, and voters in the school district will vote at the temporary polling place, Rubio Community Building, 190 1st St..
