Ottumwa – Bridge View Center’s Acoustic Fridays on the Riverfront series returns Friday, September 13 with a live performance from The Gallant Vagabonds 5pm-7:30pm. The FREE event will be held on the outdoor plaza behind Bridge View Center, with weather permitting. If inclement weather is expected, the event will be held just inside the main lobby. This FREE event is sponsored by Apple Blossom Farms.
The Gallant Vagabonds are an acoustic duo that have been performing together for over a decade. The duo, made up of John Anderson & Riley O’Brien, play a mix of acoustic hits from classic artists such as Simon & Garfunkel and REM to modern songwriters like Tyler Childers.
Acoustic Fridays on the Riverfront is an outdoor concert series showcasing Southeast Iowa’s finest musicians, held in the summer months on the outdoor riverfront plaza behind Bridge View Center overlooking downtown Ottumwa and the Des Moines River. Tables and chairs are provided, but guests are welcome to bring lawn chairs if they prefer.
Food and beverages (alcoholic and non-alcoholic) will be available for purchase. A surprise signature drink featuring fresh items from Apple Blossom Farms will be featured. Coolers and outside food and beverages are not permitted. Some food items include:
Bridge View Bacon Jam Burger
½ pound grilled black angus sirloin burger topped with peppered Iowa bacon jam & smoked gouda cheese on a Toasted Brioche Bun.
Bridge View Grilled Chicago Dog
¼ pound grilled all beef hot dog topped with pickle spear, neon relish, sport peppers, fresh tomato wedges and celery salt on a Traditional Poppyseed Bun.
Easy Eddie IPA Grilled Bratwurst
Traditional ¼ pound grilled Bratwurst brewed in Iowa’s own Easy Eddie IPA Beer on a Soft Grilled Hoagie Roll.
