An Ottumwa man was arrested after allegedly sending lewd photos to a police officer who was posing as a minor.
22-year-old Michael Cole was charged with telephone dissemination of obscene materials to a minor, an aggravated misdemeanor.
On May 29, court records say Cole sent multiple videos of solo sexual acts and nude photos to a victim. Authorities say Cole thought the victim was a 13-year-old and requested pictures of the victim.
Court records say the 13-year-old was an undercover police officer posing as the victim.
Cole was arrested on September 16 and transported to the Wapello County Jail. He is being held on a $2,000 bond and has a preliminary hearing on October 1.
