The street usage of golf carts will soon be legalized, according to the City of Ottumwa.
On September 6, the City of Ottumwa says after the Code of Ordinances is revised, City staff will give a recommended fee to City Council for the registration of golf cart operation that meets the standards listed in the ordinance.
The City says when the fee is established, citizens can register their golf carts at the City Clerk’s Office located in City Hall.
Golf cart usage will be under Article XVI of Chapter 23 in the City Code.
