A couple was arrested after having sex at a Casey’s in Ottumwa.
24-year-old Brain Anjain of Ottumwa was charged with public intoxication – 1st offense, trespassing – 1st offense, interference with official acts, and public nudity – public urination or defecation.
44-year-old Latashia Cooke of Davenport was charged with public nudity – public urination or defecation, and provided false identification and information.
On August 11 at 3:56 a.m, court records say Anjain trespassed onto the property of Casey’s on 921 East Main Street. According to officers, Anjain and Cooke engaged in a public displayed of sexual intercourse. Anjain was observed to have blood shot watery eyes and an odor of an alcoholic beverage.
According to law enforcement, Anjain was commanded not to move and stay where he was but he ran from the officers. Anjain was wrestled to the ground by official personnel.
Anjain and Cooke were taken to the Wapello County Jail. Anjain pleaded guilty to all charges and was sentenced to ten days. Cooke was released with promise to appear to an initial appearance on August 13.
