The City of Ottumwa reminds citizens to vote for the upcoming Primary election.
On August 13, voting centers will be open from 7 a.m. to 8 p.m. The election will narrow the four candidates to two for the Special Election on September 10. The four candidates are running to take the City Council seat occupied by Sandra Pope.
The election candidates are Cyan Bossou, Mitch Niner, Dan Reid, and Kevin Sylvester.
The City is accepting absentee ballot written requests. In-person absentee ballots are at the Wapello County Courthouse through August 12.
