Ottumwa Man Allegedly Stole Vehicle and Credit Card

An Ottumwa man with previous convictions allegedly stole a vehicle and used the victims credit card.

40-year-old Dennis Rodgers was charged with 3rd degree Burglary, Credit Card Fraud under $1500, and 2nd degree Theft Against Older Individual.

On June 30, according to court records Rodgers was seen on camera entering the individuals vehicle while it was unlocked and running. Police suspected Rodgers of the theft of a motor vehicle report and conducted a search on his person. The vehicles estimated value was $5,000.

Officials found the victims credit card that was taken out of the stolen vehicle. According to authorities, the last four numbers on the credit card matched a receipt for merchandise was found in Rodgers pocket.

Court records say Rodgers has two previous counts of Credit Card Fraud and three counts of 3rd degree Burglary.

Rogers was taken to the Wapello County Jail. His bond is $5,000.

Wtf!!! Come on now!! An elderly individual!!! That’s bullshit and he knows it!! Doesn’t matter the situation or how hard up you are!! Be better do better than that. I mean fucking come on!!
