Jeanette Irene Beasley arrived at the gates of heaven on July 16, 2024, at the age of 73, in the comfort of her home surrounded by family. Born on November 17, 1950, in Fairfield to the late George and Margaret (Mineart) Anderson. The visitation for Jeanette will take place on Sunday, July 21, 2024, from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM at Cranston Family Funeral Home in Fairfield, where loved ones will gather to reminisce and celebrate her life. A funeral service honoring Jeanette’s memory is scheduled for Monday, July 22, 2024, at 10:30 AM, at Cranston Family Funeral Home with Pastor Gary Van Nyhuis presiding, followed by interment at Fell Cemetery, where she will be laid to rest. Jeanette’s journey began in the small town of Fairfield, where she grew up in the neighboring community of Salina. She was a proud graduate of Fairfield High School’s class of 1969. Her academic pursuits continued at Indian Hills Community College, where she studied bookkeeping for two years. It was during her junior high years that Jeanette met her lifelong companion, Carrol Beasley. The high school sweethearts’ bond only grew stronger with time, leading to their marriage on May 6, 1972, at St. Joseph Church in Pleasant Plain. The couple soon settled outside of Libertyville, where they built a life together, filled with love and laughter.
Jeanette’s passions were simple yet profound. She found joy in bowling, shopping, and most of all, in being a devoted spectator at her children’s, and later her grandchildren’s activities. Jeanette and Carrol were homebodies at heart, finding their greatest adventures close to home, with their annual trips to the Jefferson County Fair serving as their cherished vacation. While Carrol served on the fair board, Jeanette delighted in supporting her children’s endeavors and soaking in the vibrant community spirit.
Throughout her career, Jeanette worked at the COOP in Libertyville, Pathfinders RC&D, and Ad-Lib Publications in Fairfield. Her retirement years were joyfully spent in the company of her beloved grandchildren, creating memories that would last a lifetime. Jeanette’s legacy lives on through her devoted husband, Carrol of Libertyville; daughter, Sarah (John) Godwin of Libertyville; son, Danny (Sarah) Beasley of Libertyville; and daughter, Beth (Casey) Paul of Fairfield. She was a loving sister to Marie (Bob) Keifer of Pleasant Plain, Lee Anderson of Fairfield, Corinne Reed of Richland, Paul (Barb) Anderson of Mt. Pleasant, Mary (Jim) Adam of Fairfield, Richard Anderson of Wisconsin, Bobby (Janice) Anderson of Wayland, Dean Anderson of Salina, Jeff (Lori) Anderson of Fairfield, and a sister-in-law, Melody Anderson. Jeanette was a proud grandmother to eight grandchildren; Alison Godwin, Kyle Godwin, Derek Beasley, Anna (Colton) Burnett, Dylan Beasley, Matthew Blomme, Adrian Paul, Cody Paul, and one great-grandchild, Crew Burnett.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother Harold Anderson.
