According to the City of Ottumwa, the riders of RAGBRAI LI will arrive next Thursday for an overnight stay.
On July 25, the riders will arrive into town from Rock Bluff Road, onto Blackhawk Road, turning onto North Quincy Avenue, and ride the trail behind the Ottumwa 8 Theater to arrive at the Greater Ottumwa Park. Campers will be available for the participants on both sides of the park.
The City reminds the public to be aware of bicycles and pedestrians between the park areas, near the Beach Ottumwa and Bridge View Center, and at events downtown.
On July 26, riders will be exiting the park grounds on Richmond Avenue, following east to Church Street, and north towards Market Street Bridge to cross the river.
The City expects heavy bicycle traffic in the early morning. The riders will travel towards Agency from East Main Street, to Highway 34, and follow 73rd Street.
