Two Oskaloosa Men Allegedly Intoxicated During Hit-And-Run

Police say an intoxicated Oskaloosa man left the scene of an accident after hitting a vehicle of a man who was also intoxicated.

27-year-old Andrew Decker of Oskaloosa was charged with failure to possess SR-22 insurance and operating while intoxicated, his 3rd offense.

24-year-old Chase Anderson was charged with driving while suspended and operating while intoxicated, his 1st offense. Further charges may be filed.

On June 12, Oskaloosa Police Department responded to a hit-and-run accident on A Ave E and 11th St. Police located a suspicious vehicle on N 10th St driven by Decker who was later determined to be impaired.

Later, police found a different vehicle that had damage consistent with the hit-and-run incident driven by Anderson who authorities say was intoxicated.

Decker and Anderson were taken to the Mahaska County Jail. They are both held in lieu of bond.
