An Ottumwa woman was arrested after police say her actions allegedly flooded a total of five apartments including her own.
38-year-old Ginger Kessler was charged with 1st offense of Criminal Mischief.
On June 2, according to the Ottumwa Police Department, Kessler cut a hole through the wall of her apartment to reach the pipes of the sprinkler system and cut the piping. This caused a rush of water and heavily damaged five apartments.
Authorities say the damage is estimated to be well over $10,000.
Kessler was taken into custody and transported to the Wapello County Jail. She is being held without bond and awaits a hearing with a magistrate judge.
