Mary Jo Shultz, 90, of Ottumwa died at 6:05 a.m. June 18, 2024 at Hospice House in Ottumwa.
She was born July 18, 1933 in Ottumwa to Fred and Hazel McCanns Sponsler. She married Tom Shultz, Jr. March 2, 1963 and he preceded her death June 29, 1988.
A 1951 graduate of Ottumwa High School, Mary Jo was a resident of Ottumwa all of her life.
She enjoyed shopping and loved spending time with family and her beloved cats.
Surviving are her daughters, Kandy (Bill) Johns of Ottumwa and Kelly (Jim) Morrison of Ozarks, MO; four grandchildren, Mary Jo Collett, Tabatha Morrison, Tommie and Ethan Johns; five great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents and a sister, Shirley McKeen.
Her body has been cremated.
A time to celebrate her life will be held at a later date.
