Authorities recovered the body of a man who went missing while swimming in the Des Moines River in Ottumwa.
The Wapello County Sheriff’s Office says the body of 36-year-old Skiller Amo of Ottumwa was found Thursday afternoon just south of the Water Pollution Facility southeast of Ottumwa.
Amo originally went missing on Sunday after the office says he went swimming in the river with a group of people.
The Ottumwa Fire Department assisted the sheriff’s office in locating the deceased.
