Fairfield Chamber Announces New Hire

The Fairfield Area Chamber of Commerce announced that Lindsey Waugh was hired to fill the position of Chamber Administrator. Waugh held this same position from 2012-2017 when she left to become a Stay-at-Home Mother. “It has been such a treat seeing all the
many ways the Chamber organization has made progress over the years. At the same time, I have enjoyed seeing so many familiar faces. I am especially looking forward to working with Executive Director, Mendy McAdams. She and the board have been very welcoming and there isno doubt that they share a passion for the Fairfield area.”

“The Chamber is involved in everything going on in town, so it is hard not to fall in love withFairfield. Starting the same month as the Annual Awards Banquet is a perfect time to reacquaintmyself with our thriving business community.” In addition to helping organize the Banquet, some of Waugh’s responsibilities at the Chamber will be 2024 RAGBRAI Volunteer Coordinator, informing the community about upcoming events, and being involved in 15 annual events that support the businesses in Fairfield.

“We are thrilled to welcome back Lindsey to our Chamber family,” said McAdams. “Her return not only reinforces our commitment to fostering long-term relationships with our employees but also adds tremendous value to our team. Lindsey was vital in starting our Leadership Fairfield program as well as many other accomplishments. We look forward to Lindsey continuing to excel and thrive in her role.”

Waugh is from Iowa City and graduated from the University of Iowa with a degree in International Relations. She has lived in the area since 2012. Waugh enjoys spending time with her three small children, swimming, nature walks, planning parties, decorating for the seasons, thrifting and baking.
