Jackie Sharp, CEO of Centerville Community Betterment (CCB), announced that Tonya Clawson has been named Executive Director In Training, effective January 15, 2024.
In this capacity, Clawson will begin training to assume the role of CEO of Centerville Community Betterment, Inc., on January 1, 2025. Immediate responsibilities will include all Human Resource functions of the service. Gradually Clawson will be responsible for the overall administration of CCBI, including operations, finances, public relations, and working with the CCBI Board of Directors to manage existing services and create new ones in the community.
“Tonya brings over 25 years of management experience in a healthcare setting and expertise in Human Resources. Her people skills, executive experience, and commitment to our service mission are just a few of the attributes that will take CCB into the next decade,” Sharp said.
Clawson served as the Human Resources and Staff Development Manager at MercyOne Centerville since 1999. In 2022, she was promoted to Director of Operations, adding those responsibilities and the hospital’s foundation to her list of roles. She was an effective servant leader at the hospital who worked to develop an engaged, service-oriented workforce.
She holds a Bachelor of Arts in Human Relations/Psychology and Sociology and is certified in Customer Service and Culture Training.
