Ashton Adam Lankford, 22, of Keosauqua, passed away Monday, January 8, 2024 in Keosauqua.

Ashton was born February 22, 2001 in Keosauqua, the son of Adam Lankford and Sabrina Larski.

Ashton attended Fairfield High School where he was active in numerous sports: football, basketball, baseball, and track, and graduated in 2019. During and after high school, Ashton worked as a groundskeeper, landscaper, and welder.

When not working, Ashton enjoyed spending time outside and loved nature, hiking and running the trails of Lacey and Jefferson County Parks. Ashton also had a deep fondness for the Rocky Mountains and Colorado and would seldom stay on the trails, preferring to make his own path. However, Ashton’s love for nature would take a momentary pause if he happened to run into any bees or wasps. Ashton also loved spending time with friends and family playing Xbox, watching movies and listening to music and he could always be counted on to send a funny meme, reel, or GIF out of the blue.
