A head-on collision claimed the life of a motorist in Keokuk County on Saturday.
According to the Iowa State Patrol, a Chevy Silverado driven by 47-year-old Kathy Wagamon of Brighton was traveling northbound on 323rd Avenue at 12:33 PM.
The accident report states the Silverado crossed the center line and rammed into a Ford Explorer driven by 79-year-old Marsha Patterson who was traveling southbound.
A passenger of the Explorer, 82-year-old Frank Patterson, was transported to the hospital but died from injuries sustained in the accident.
Marsha Patterson and Wagamon were seriously injured and taken to the University of Iowa Hospital and Clinic. Their respective statuses are unknown.
