Court records say an Ottumwa woman, who has several prior theft convictions, was arrested for theft again on Tuesday.
58-year-old Angela Abbott was charged with third-degree theft, enhanced because of prior convictions, an aggravated misdemeanor.
According to Ottumwa police, Abbott was observed taking $200 worth of items from Walgreens on 4th Street and placing them in a canvas bag.
The criminal complaint says a computer check revealed Abbott had seven previous theft convictions.
Abbott was transported to the Wapello County Jail and was later released on a promise to appear.
Abbott’s preliminary hearing was waived.
