Delores Ruth Fuller, 92, of Ottumwa, died at 6:40 a.m. September 24, 2023 at Serenity Hospice House in Oskaloosa.

She was born December 2, 1930 in Henry County. She married Loren E. “Gene” Fuller March 30, 1978 and he preceded her in death January 31, 2011.

A graduate of Washington High School, Delores had been a dispatcher for Keokuk Co. Sheriff’s Department and worked at Fuller & Sons Welding alongside her husband, Gene.

Delores enjoyed camping, crocheting, making quilts and painting Gene’s projects. Her greatest joys were her kids, grandkids, great-grandkids and great-great grandkids.

Surviving are her children, Kathy (Denny) Barron of Coal Valley, IL, Stephen (Julie) Savage and Abe (Richelle) Savage both of Chariton, Martha (Dan) Dennis and Nina Denison both of Ottumwa, Mark (Elaine) Savage of Chariton, Danny (Crissy) Savage of Phoenix, AZ, Rachel (Rob) Cordle of Andover, MN, Rebecca (Mick) Page of New Richmond, WI, Angela (Rex) Goldizen of Fremont, Dorothy (Tommy) Ellis of Pearl, MS, Sarah (Tom) Valentine of Ottumwa, Elizabeth (Larry) Abbott of AR, Louise (Daryl Schumaker of TN and Art (Linda) Savage of NE, daughter-in-law, Karen, Savage of NE, Jerry (Marti) Fuller of Oskaloosa, Bob (Cindy) Fuller; 49 grandchildren; 82 great-grandchildren; and 3 great-great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her grandparents who raised her, John and Pearl Lee; a daughter, Alice Mae; son, Tim Savage; and granddaughter, Haley Page.

Visitation will be open at 11 a.m. Friday, September 29th at Reece Funeral Home with the family present to greet friends from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. Friday.

Funeral services will be 10 a.m. Saturday, September 30th at Reece Funeral Home. Burial will be in Cedar Township Cemetery.

Memorials may be made to Heartland Humane Society or Serenity Hospice House.
