Known for his adventurous spirit, he delighted in performing stunts and buzzing people in his plane, much to their surprise and amusement.

In his free time, Billy enjoyed the simple pleasures of life. He was an avid jigsaw puzzle enthusiast, often spending hours piecing together intricate designs. His son Daryl (Dianne) Runyon, daughter Doris Carr, sister Ardyth (Bill) Newman, nine grandchildren, 11 great grandchildren, and two great great-grandchildren will forever cherish the memories they shared with their funny, adventurous, and loving patriarch.
