Janice Marie Wood, 63, of Ottumwa, died at 10:42 p.m. April 2, 2023 at Ottumwa Regional Health Center.
She was born February 8, 1960 in Waycross, GA to George Donald and Carolyn Miller Wolfe Sr. Janice married Ronald Wood on April 18, 1981 in Raytown, MO.
Janice had worked for 21 years in the HyVee floral department. She enjoyed working with plants, sewing and crafts and enjoyed spending time with family, especially the grandkids.
Surviving is her husband, Ronald; their children, April Lynne Wood of Bloomfield, Amanda (Luis) Argueta-Lopez of Ottumwa and Aaron (Krissy) Wood of Bloomfield; 5 grandchildren, Chase (Dakotah), Grace, Dayton, Noah and Josslyn; her brother, Richard (Faith) Wolfe of Blackshear, GA and her father, George Donald (Sharon)Wolfe Sr. of Blackshear, GA; and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her mother, Carolyn Wolfe and her brother, George Donald Wolfe Jr.
Her body has been cremated. Memorial services will be 3 p.m. Friday, April 7th at Reece Funeral Home. The service will be livestreamed on the Reece Funeral Home Facebook page. Visitation with the family present will be one hour prior to the service.
Inurnment will be in Mars Hill Cemetery at a later date.
