Cynthia Mae Colvin, 60, of Ottumwa, died at 4:05 a.m. April 4, 2023 at Good Samaritan Society – Ottumwa.

She was born September 10, 1962 in Fairfield to Rocco and Anna Shondel Wagner. She married James Craig Colvin April 26, 1988.

Growing up in Fairfield and California, Cindy was a waitress many places including the Greenbriar Restaurant and Anzalyn’s. Steakhouse. For the past 15 years, she had worked at Walgreens.

Cindy was always a giving person. She loved to read, complete jigsaw puzzles, coloring and spending time with her grandchildren.

Surviving is her husband, James; their daughter, Erica (Justin) Drummond of Ottumwa; her farther, Rocco (Janelle) Wagner of Iowa City; 4 grandchildren, Eloise Sprouse, Jayden Fowler, Everly Drummond and Jesslyn Drummond; her siblings, Susan (Dirk) Holsomback of Iowa City, Timothy (Allison) Wagner of Fairfield, Mike (Tammy) Wagner of Fairfield, Julie Wagner of TX, David (Janine) Wagner of Branson, MO, Laura (David) Wagner-Glee of Iowa City and Delores (John) Foster of Fairfield; many nieces and nephews; her father-in-law and mother-in-law, James Richard and Ramona Joyce Colvin of Ottumwa; a brother-in-law, Jeff (Tuk) Colvin of Colorado Springs, CO; 2 sisters-in-law, Candi Colvin of Ottumwa and Tammy (Kurt) Brush of Waterloo; and her beloved Husky, Baxter.

She was preceded in death by a daughter, Amber Sprouse Colvin and her mother, Anna Wagner.

Her body has been cremated. Memorial services will be 1 p.m. Saturday, April 8th at Reece Funeral Home with Pastor Skyler Skinner officiating. The family will be present to greet friends 1 hour prior to the service on Saturday.

With Cindy having been diagnosed with 4 different types of cancer throughout her lifetime, memorials may be made to Holden Comprehensive Cancer Center at the University of Iowa for research.
