Jacque Taylor, 47, of Oskaloosa, passed away Monday, January 16, 2023, at the Mahaska Health Hospice Serenity House in Oskaloosa.

Jacqueline Ann Taylor, daughter of Jack Myron and Pamela Ann (Levernier) Taylor, was born October 17, 1975, in Oskaloosa. Although Jacque was diagnosed with a heart defect at an early age, she lived life to its fullest. She held various jobs throughout her life and excelled at operating computers. She loved music of all types and was devoted to her pets. She wore her heart on her sleeve for any needy person or animal, and was always willing to lend a helping hand. She loved to keep busy, and it was not unusual to find her creating something in the kitchen or helping in the garage, fixing a car. Jacque also enjoyed gardening and took pride in her tomato crop. She will be remembered as a devoted daughter, always loving and caring to her parents.

Her family includes her parents, Jack and Pam Taylor of Oskaloosa; a brother, Bob (Gina) Carmichael of Clute, Texas; and two sisters: Jill (Doug) Connor of Colorado and Jennifer (Derrick) Clark of Arizona.

She was preceded in death by a brother, Rick Carmichael.

As was her wish, Jacque’s body has been cremated. A Celebration of Life Gathering will take place later. Langkamp Funeral Chapel & Crematory has been entrusted with her arrangements. Instead of flowers, please make a memorial contribution to Mahaska Health Foundation for the Serenity House or to Stephens Memorial Animal Shelter.
