The Chariton Valley Electric Cooperative (CVEC) Operation Round Up® Foundation Board awarded Ragtime Industries a grant for $4200 during their third quarter meeting. These funds will assist Ragtime Industries in purchasing equipment needed to assist in skill development to address community employment needs.

Ragtime Industries provides supportive services to adults in Monroe County who are currently unemployed due to physical, mental, or developmental disabilities. They work to increase the employability of residents in the area by allowing them to learn and enhance skills applicable to the workplace.

“CVEC was founded with the core principle of ‘Concern for Community’ and making a difference in the communities we serve is the cooperative way. We were pleased to assist Ragtime Industries in furthering their mission of connecting our citizens with valuable employment skills.”

Leilani Todd, CVEC CEO and General Manager

During Operation Round Up’s® two-year lifespan, over $66,000 dollars has been collected through CVEC’s member participation, with $63,164 having been distributed to 20 worthwhile community, youth, educational and environmental programs. CVEC is grateful our members continue to donate their small change each month that is impacting lives locally and hope our membership continues to see the value and benefit this program brings to the communities we serve.

If you would like your non-profit organization to be considered for an Operation Round Up® grant, please visit www.cvrec.com to complete the application documents by December 31, 2022.
