An Oskaloosa man who sexually abused an underage girl and solicited another for illicit photos will spend up to two decades in prison, according to a Des Moines Register report.
33-year-old Andrew Richardson was found guilty on two counts of sexual exploitation of a minor in a bench trial. According to court records, he was sentenced to consecutive 10-year terms on each count. Ricardson agreed to a plea deal that dismissed six other charges.
In 2019, Richardson received sexually explicit photos of a juvenile female. Richardson described himself as a 16-year-old boy on Snapchat when he received the images. Evidence was also found that showed Richardson having sexual contact with a different underage girl.
According to one of the victims, Richardson carried an ongoing relationship with the juvenile female. The girl told investigators that Richardson acted manipulatively, threatening to harm himself or reveal her personal information if she ended the relationship.
Richardson was ordered to register as a sex offender for the rest of his life.
