A southeast Iowa man who sold large quantities of methamphetamine to a police informant was sentenced to spend nearly two decades in federal prison.
According to court documents, 37-year-old Jose Luis Escundino Romayor sold crystal meth to a police informant on several occasions during the summer of 2017. During the investigation, law enforcement seized more than two kilograms of methamphetamine and a pistol.
Romayor pleaded guilty to conspiracy to distribute methamphetamine in February. A judge sentenced Romayor to 210 months (17.5 years) in prison earlier this week.
