The Van Buren County Warriors defeated the Winfield-Mount Union Wolves 11-1 in six innings on Senior Night
In the first inning, Senior Owen Loeffler tossed a scoreless inning while stranding two Wolf runners on base. The Warriors struck swiftly in the first inning scoring twice. The Warriors would tally the runs without a hit, using two walks and two Wolf errors. In the second Loeffler would strike out the Wolf side with three strikeouts. The Warriors would double their lead in the second highlighted by a Taylor Sprouse RBI, to give the Warriors a 4-0 lead after 2. The third inning saw the teams go scoreless. The Warriors would tally one run in the fourth after Loeffler stranded two Wolf runners in the inning. The end of the fourth saw the Warriors up 5-0. After a 1-2-3 top of the fifth, the Warriors broke the game open. In the bottom of the fifth, the Warriors opened the from with three doubles in a row and would add four runs to their score. In the inning, the Warriors collected RBIs from Maddix Kite, Owen Loeffler, Lucas Fett, and Taylor Sprouse. The Warriors lead 9-0 after 5. The Wolves would tally one run in the sixth inning, and the Warriors would tally two in the bottom of the sixth to walk off the Wolves. Jackson Manning would drive in the game-winning runs on a well-hit single to left. The Warriors won 11-1
With the win, the Warriors improve to 9-11, while the Wolves fall to 2-15
