The Ottumwa Park Campground will be opening next week, according to the city of Ottumwa.
The 340-acre park will be open for the season starting at 8:00 AM on April 1st. The park features nearby paved trail access, a stocked fishing pond, and the Des Moines River and adjacent Wapello County Trails.
The city says no reservations will be taken and all camping is available on a first-come, first-serve basis.
It costs $20 per night in the RV camp (with electricity and WiFi). Tent camping is also $20 a night.
