A deceased elderly woman that was discovered Friday morning has been identified, according to the Ottumwa Police Department.
Lieutenant Jason Bell says a white elderly female was found dead next to a vehicle near the intersection of Madison Avenue and Adeline Road. A passerby saw the body and contacted the police. Authorities did not suspect foul play.
On Monday morning, Bell says that the woman has been identified. The identity of the deceased woman was not disclosed.
In a press release, the Ottumwa Police Department thanked the public for providing tips and information in regards to the investigation.
