A Bloomfield man was arrested after allegedly assaulting and threatening a woman with a knife in Centerville.

24-year-old Jordan Duncan was charged with Assault While Displaying A Dangerous Weapon.

On June 7, Centerville police say Duncan allegedly heard the female victim say something to him while parked at the Centerville Square. Court records say Duncan got out of the car, displayed a knife, and began punching the victim in the face causing her glasses to break.

The victim called police and gave a description of Duncan’s vehicle to authorities. Law enforcement later located Duncan’s vehicle with his girlfriend driving. She told authorities she recently dropped Duncan off at his apartment. She admitted that she was present at the scene when Duncan allegedly assaulted the victim. Duncan’s girlfriend then turned in the knife that was in his possession, according to authorities.

Duncan was taken to the Appanoose County Jail. He was released without bond.
