Ottumwa, Iowa – The Ottumwa Fire Department will be doing a controlled burn on a structure located at 11653 Dahlonega Road today, December 27, 2023.
We recognize the late notice, but a decision was made to do the controlled burn prior to incoming weather. This will also be used as a training opportunity for the Ottumwa Fire Department.
The process of setting the structure ablaze and extinguishing the fire is expected to go into the early afternoon.
