Six students from across the country have been selected to serve the FFA for the next year.
Josie Jennings of Ohiois the newly elected National FFA President.
“I want to make sure that I’m honoring the student in the back of the classroom, but also the farmer in the field,” she says. “I want to make sure that as we come up on the 100th anniversary of FFA, we’re bringing in those people who have had a really big role in shaping the roots of our organization. I’m hoping to blend those two together over the next year.”
National FFA Secretary Cameron Addington of Minnesota says he wants to highlight the organization’s student membership.
“We’ll get to travel almost 100,000 miles, go to different state conventions and present workshops and keynotes,” he says. “Behind that is relationships. That’s something I’m really, really looking forward to this year is just connecting with people, hearing their stories, and building those relationships.”
