Brenda Arlene Morrison, born on November 15, 1969 in Albia, IA, passed away on October 13, 2026. Brenda, a resident of Blakesburg, Iowa, spent her professional career in the newspaper business, where her role as an ad taker allowed her to connect with the community she loved. Brenda always made time for the things that truly mattered to her: her family, her faith, and her passions.

Brenda was a woman of many interests and an undeniable zest for life. She was an excellent cook and an avid gardener, often sharing her culinary creations and garden harvests with those around her. Fishing and motorcycle riding were among her favorite pastimes, allowing her to explore the great outdoors that she so loved. Brenda’s love for music, particularly country and classic rock, was unparalleled and she could often be found humming along to her favorite tunes. Above all, Brenda loved Jesus and her faith was a guiding force throughout her life. It is perhaps this compassion that made Brenda such a loving mother, grandmother, and friend. Her family, especially her children and grandchildren, were her world and she wore her love for them on her sleeve.

Brenda is remembered as a caring, loving, and passionate woman who deeply impacted the lives of those around her. Her warmth, generosity and unwavering faith will forever be etched in the hearts of those who were fortunate to know her. As we mourn the loss of Brenda, we also celebrate her life and the love she shared with us.

She is survived by her children, Autumn (Billy) Whisler, Kegan Morrison, Theron Morrison, Seth Morrison; father, Rick Brown; grandchildren, Corbyn, Michael, Kaison, Gracelynn, Alaynna, Theron Jr., Bryson, Cameron, Paisley; siblings, Angela Castellanos, Carrie Brown; aunts and uncles, Charlie and Sandi Laughead, step father, Ernie Moss, and many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. She was preceded in death by her mother, Margaret Moss.

Brenda has been cremated and a celebration of life will be held at a later date.

We encourage you to leave your cherished memories of Brenda and upload photos to the memorial page. This will serve as a comforting reminder of the beautiful life she lived and the lasting impact she had on all of us.
