Cathie Lynn Taylor, born April 22, 1955 in Ottumwa, Iowa, passed away on October 12, 2026. She was known for her compassion and professional dedication towards her patients. Cathie married the love of her life, Patrick Taylor, on September 17, 1994, building a life filled with love, respect, and mutual understanding.
Cathie’s hobbies showcased her diverse interests and talents. A wonderful seamstress, she could mend and create with an eye for detail and a love for the craft. She also held a black belt in Taekwondo, demonstrating her strength and determination. Above all, Cathie cherished her family, especially her beloved grandchildren. Her love for her family was a guiding force in her life, providing her with joy, purpose, and endless pride. Cathie’s legacy of love, kindness, and resilience will continue to live on through her family and the countless lives she touched.
She is survived by her husband Patrick; children, Whitney (Chris) Fox, Zack (Jessica) Olson, Jessie Olson; grandchildren, Taylor, Bryan, Rowan, Stevie, Hunter, Archie; siblings, Gary (Janet) Ellis, Charles (Nancy) Ellis. She was preceded in death by her parents, Dale and Kathleen Ellis; brother, David Ellis; sister, Connie Jones.
Cathie has been cremated with no planned services at this time.
