Cynthia Ann Covey was born on October 10, 1960, in Oskaloosa, Iowa, the daughter of William and Marcella (Robertson) Covey. She graduated from the Oskaloosa Senior High School with the Class of 1979. She then attended Indian Hills Community College and received her Administration Assistant Degree. At the time, she worked for Farm Service in Oskaloosa. She then moved to Des Moines and resided there for the remainder of her life. Over the years she worked for Meredith Corporation, Pioneer Seed, Crest and was employed by ARAG at the time of her passing.
She is survived by her parents, William and Marcellia Covey, her sister, Kim (Covey) and her husband Scott McDade, her brother, Bryan Covey and his wife Kim (Oetjen). She is also survived by nine nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her grandparents, Ray and Ruth (Boston) Robertson and Perry and Ruth (Chambers) Covey.
As was her wish, cremation will take place and a private graveside service will take place at a later date. The Bates Funeral Chapel is in charge of arrangements.
