“Sheriffs from all across Iowa are endorsing Zach Lahn for governor because he is the only candidate in this race who stands up for law enforcement. Rob Sand only has 5 active sheriff endorsements, because he’s spent his 20-year political career standing with defund-the-police radicals and aligning with far left causes that undermined public safety. Zach will unapologetically back the blue,” said Lahn Campaign Spokesman, Dan Capodilupo.

“What does accountability mean to me? Accountability is holding criminals accountable for their actions and not having a catch and release program where they’re in and out of prison. I want a governor who has those same conservative beliefs that I have, and that’s why I’m supporting Zach,” said Marion County Sheriff, Jason Sandholt.
“Knowing that we have people in the Statehouse that are backing us, assisting us with our jobs, it’s just going to make our community even stronger. This election is probably one of the most important elections Iowa has seen. I feel like there’s a lot at stake, [and] a lot of policies that could possibly change for the worse. We need Zach Lahn in the Statehouse,” said Benton County Sheriff, David Upah.
“When I was hired, there were over 100 applicants – now we’re lucky if we get 10 or 15. It’s because of the poor publicity we’re getting from the left,” said Cedar County Sheriff, Warren Washington.
“I’ve been an officer for 34 years, and I’ve seen over the last several years where the ‘defund the police’ movement has really hurt law enforcement as a whole,” said Henry County Sheriff, Rick McNamee.
