Drivers in Ottumwa should be prepared for additional road closures beginning Tuesday, July 21, as work continues on Phase 8 of the city’s sewer separation project.
Grant Street will be closed between Norris Street and North Fellows Avenue. North Cooper Avenue and North Elm Street will also be closed between Grant Street and Ogden Street.
The closures are expected to remain in place as construction continues throughout the summer.
Motorists are encouraged to use alternate routes, allow extra travel time, and use caution when traveling near the construction areas.
The closures are part of ongoing infrastructure improvements associated with Ottumwa’s sewer separation project.
