State Farm Agent Shawn McCarty, serving southeast Iowa from his office at 604 W Burlington in Fairfield, along with Ottumwa Radio Group, would like to congratulate Fairfield Softball player Leah Helmick, our 104.3 KRKN Athlete of the Week!
Helmick performed well at the plate and in the circle last week for the Trojans. The junior clubbed a pair of home runs in last Monday’s 8-3 win over Burlington. Then on Thursday, Helmick tossed a complete-game, two-hit shutout with 10 strikeouts in Fairfield’s 6-0 victory over Mount Pleasant.
