The Ottumwa Symphony Orchestra is inviting the community to enjoy an evening of live music during its annual Music on the Green concert on Sunday, June 7.
The performance will begin at 7 p.m. on the Marge Dodd Stage at Indian Hills Community College and is one of the orchestra’s most popular events of the season.
Audience members will be treated to an encore appearance by vocalists Diana Upton-Hill and Justin Hill, who were featured during the orchestra’s April concert. The duo will perform several selections and serve as emcees for the evening.
Concertgoers are encouraged to bring lawn chairs, blankets, picnics, and their favorite beverages while enjoying the outdoor performance with family and friends.
If rain or severe weather develops, the concert will move indoors to the Hellyer Student Life Center, located adjacent to the stage. Should the event be canceled, organizers will notify the public by 3 p.m. that day.
Admission is free, although a free-will offering will be accepted to support the orchestra.
The concert will take place at Indian Hills Community College, located at 525 Grandview Avenue in Ottumwa.
