The Wapello County Trails Council will host three spring trail clean up events on three consecutive Saturdays in May, starting at 9 a.m. Trail users are invited to join the effort and be prepared to walk off trail. Garbage bags and gloves will be provided. Dates and locations include:
- May 2 – Meet at the Rotary exercise area, located behind the playground to do clean up along the trails in Ottumwa Park.
- May 9 – Meet at Gray Eagle parking lot, located on Emma Avenue (across from JBS) to clean up along the north levee.
- May 16 – Meet at the Central Addition park shelter to clean up between Quincy Avenue and The Beach Ottumwa.
Join trail members in our annual effort to clean Ottumwa’s trail system. Users of the trail are also encouraged to take a bag and clean up during walks in the park or on the levee throughout the spring, summer, and fall.
