Sigourney claimed the team title at the Keota Boys Invite on Friday, April 10th at Lagos Acres Golf Course, while Keota’s Brennan McGuire turned in the best individual round of the day to claim medalist honors in an 18-hole competition on the par-72 course.
Sigourney won the team title with a score of 310, 22 over par, followed by Keota with 323, PCM JV with 342, HLV/TC with 387, Iowa Valley with 403, and English Valleys with 417.
McGuire led all golfers with a two-under-par 70, carding four birdies in a standout round. Jordan Tremmel of Sigourney finished second with a 74 and one birdie, Solon Yates of Sigourney was third with a 76 and one birdie, and Ike Molyneux of Sigourney placed fourth with a 79 and one birdie. Landon Conrad of Sigourney rounded out the top five with an 81 and two birdies, and Josh Wyatt of Sigourney placed seventh with an 82 and two birdies.
For Keota, Aspen Galindo placed ninth with an 83 and one birdie, Porter Cave was 10th with an 84, Blake Baker placed 12th with an 86, Tucker Sprouse was 17th with a 92, and Jacob Libe rounded out the Keota scorecard in 27th with a 105. Hayden Bensmiller placed 18th for Sigourney with a 93.
