Authorities are asking for the public’s help in locating a missing Iowa woman whose last known contact was earlier this week.
Seventy-eight-year-old Cheryl Ruth Anderson was last heard from on March 3, 2026. She is described as a white female, approximately 5 feet 4 inches tall and weighing about 180 pounds. Anderson has white hair and hazel eyes.
Law enforcement officials say anyone who may have seen Anderson or has information about her whereabouts is urged to contact authorities. Her disappearance is being investigated by the Warren County Sheriff’s Office in Indianola along with the Iowa Missing Person Information Clearinghouse.
Officials emphasize that members of the public should not attempt to approach or intervene if they believe they have located the missing person. Instead, they are encouraged to gather as much information as possible, such as the exact location, activities observed, or vehicle descriptions including license plate numbers, and report it to law enforcement.
Anyone with information about Anderson’s disappearance is asked to contact the Iowa Division of Criminal Investigation’s Missing Person Information Clearinghouse at 515-725-6036 or reach out to the Warren County Sheriff’s Office. Authorities say even small details could help investigators locate her safely.
